GPS is hiring an experienced Wet Chemistry Lab Technician to join a manufacturing-based laboratory in Columbia, SC .
This is NOT a medical or clinical lab environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on chemical testing, solution preparation, and analytical work in a manufacturing chemical lab environment.

What You Will Do:
- Perform wet chemistry lab testing.
- Conduct chemical experiments and tests using techniques like gas chromatography and spectroscopy .
- Prepare chemical solutions and analyze solids, liquids, and gases for compliance.
- Monitor product quality and processing to meet standards.
- Maintain and clean lab equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
- Assist with plant raw material handling and maintain inventory.
- Inspect and prepare samples for shipment, following regulatory requirements.
- Record, compile, and interpret test results.
What Is Needed:
- Education:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate degree in a related field
- Coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Technology or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum: 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing wet lab.
- Skills:
- Basic written and verbal communication.
- Strong math skills and knowledge of wet lab chemistry.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
Drug-free workplace and criminal background check required.
