Your Impact
The Vice President of Sales Engineering will lead Axons global team of technical sales professionals who bridge innovation and customer success. This leader will design and execute a worldclass presales strategy, ensuring our cuttingedge ecosystem of productsfrom bodyworn cameras to realtime software and AI solutionsare understood, trusted, and adopted by our customers. This is a highimpact leadership role that will shape how Axon connects technology to mission outcomes across public safety and enterprise sectors.
What Youll Do
Location: Remote with travel up to 30%
Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer
Direct Reports: Regional Directors of Sales Engineering
- Lead and scale a global Sales Engineering organization that delivers technical excellence and drives revenue growth.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align presales technical strategy with Axons global business objectives.
- Define and implement standardized technical discovery, solution design, and proposal processes that ensure consistency, speed, and quality.
- Build, mentor, and empower highperforming regional and functional leaders across the sales engineering org.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to represent customer feedback and inform product roadmaps.
- Develop enablement programs, demo environments, and proofofconcept assets that articulate the value of Axons connected ecosystem.
- Drive executivelevel customer engagements and strategic presentations showcasing Axons innovation and impact.
- Measure team success through clear KPIs tied to sales velocity, technical win rates, and customer satisfaction.
What You Bring
- 12+ years in technical sales, presales, or solution engineering roles, with at least 5 years leading global or enterprise teams.
- Proven experience scaling and operationalizing a highgrowth, global sales engineering organization.
- Strong technical understanding of cloud architecture, integrations, SaaS platforms, and data security.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills; able to translate complex technology into customer value.
- Demonstrated success leading a globally diverse team.
- Passion for Axons mission to protect life, accelerate justice, and build safer communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in public safety, defense, or missioncritical technology sectors.
- Track record leading presales for AI or cloudbased enterprise solutions.
- Significant time spent living or working overseas, with the ability to speak multiple languages.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
