*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Veterinarian to join our Access to Care Clinic. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary services to a diverse animal population, ensuring their health and well-being through comprehensive medical care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong veterinary background, excellent animal handling skills, and a passion for improving pet health in a community-focused environment. This position is an excellent fit for veterinarians committed to accessible, compassionate care and eager to make a meaningful difference in animals' lives.
*Duties*
* Provide high-quality primary care, including wellness, preventive medicine, diagnostics, and chronic disease management.
* Create practical, client-centered treatment plans tailored to financial and logistical needs.
* Perform minor procedures (sedated exams, mass removals, wound care, ear flushes, etc.).
* Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients of all backgrounds.
* Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques.
* Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
* Work collaboratively with CVTs, assistants, and fellow veterinarians in a fast-paced environment.
* Support access-to-care principles, incremental medicine, and community outreach programs.
* Participate in teaching and mentorship opportunities with students and foreign-trained veterinarians.
*Qualifications*
* DVM/VMD from an accredited program, or foreign equivalent
* Current Wisconsin veterinary licensure or eligible for one.
* USDA Category II Accreditation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
* Fear Free Certification (or willingness to complete).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to thrive in a high-volume, mission-driven clinic.
* Commitment to practical, accessible medicine and serving underserved communities.
*Preferred Experience*
* Access-to-care, community medicine, shelter medicine, or high-volume clinical practice.
* Comfort with practical diagnostics and incremental care strategies.
* Interest in teaching or mentoring.

Pay: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
