Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a current CA license, BLS and NRP for weekend night shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Level III NICU within a hospital setting
- Weekend night shifts Friday to Sunday, 3x12s from 19:00-07:30
- Floats required to PICU and CTICU based on census
- Care for neonatal patients requiring phototherapy, tube/gavage feeding, blood transfusions, and advanced respiratory support
- Uses EPIC for documentation
- No on-call required
- Provide care to critically ill neonates with varied acuity in a multidisciplinary team environment
- EPIC training is provided and requires approximately 8 hours to complete pre-start modules
- Maximum of 5 days of pre-approved time off allowed, with restrictions over Black Friday and specified December dates
- Local candidates are accepted at a localized pay rate
- One professional reference within the past two years required for consideration
- Applicants must have no Nursys disciplinary actions

- Active CA RN license in hand
- Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
- BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required
- Demonstrated skills in Level III NICU care including phototherapy, blood products, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure meds, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilation
- First-time travelers accepted if they meet the NICU experience requirement
- Must not have been previous permanent staff at the facility
