About this Job:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a PICC Specialist. This role involves utilizing advanced medical equipment to monitor patients' vital signs and collaborating with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans in a telemetry setting. You will also supervise and guide the care provided by licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs independently, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Effectively interpret and implement physician's orders for assigned patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing cardiac rhythms and apply knowledge within your practice scope.
- Monitor telemetry rhythms on cardiac monitors and determine appropriate actions.
- Maintain accurate and legible documentation of patient records.
- Administer medications following established protocols, monitoring patient responses and understanding side effects.
- Exhibit knowledge in the preparation of cardiac medications and infusions.
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards.
- Identify and communicate problems to the physician efficiently.
- Contribute positively to unit operations through charge RN duties, mentorship, and involvement in performance improvement initiatives.
- Complete required competencies and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and complete daily tasks.
- Educate patients and families regarding health care practices.
- Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure in accordance with professional standards.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and supervise their performance.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Telemetry course completion required.
- CPR certification from AHA or American Red Cross within 90 days required.
- Additional certifications may be needed based on department requirements.
- ACLS certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong comprehension of hospital policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

This position offers a competitive hiring range of USD $37.50 - USD $54.92 per hour.
