Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Greensboro, NC
Compensation: $90,000–$115,000 base + 10% bonus
Relocation Assistance Available

Are you a seasoned quality professional with a passion for leadership and process improvement? A confidential Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive excellence across its manufacturing operations.
About the RoleThis is a high-impact leadership position reporting directly to the Plant Manager. You’ll oversee a team of Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Inspectors, ensuring compliance with TS 16949 and ISO 9001 standards while championing customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
The current manager is transitioning into a project-based role, creating an opportunity for a strong leader to step in and build a culture of accountability, delegation, and proactive problem-solving .
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of 6+ quality professionals
Manage customer complaints and drive root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D resolution
Oversee PPAP submissions and ensure compliance with TS 16949 / ISO 9001
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve quality issues
Promote LEAN principles and reduce process variation using SPC tools
Serve as the Voice of the Customer within the organization
3–5+ years of quality experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
Hands-on knowledge of SPC, RCA, 8D, PPAP, TS 16949, ISO 9001
Proven ability to lead teams or functions (quality, production, or military leadership experience accepted)
Strong communication and prioritization skills
Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% to customer sites
