Job Title: Patient Care Associate Labor & Delivery
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Rate: $30/hour (W2)
Shift: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM EST | 40 Hours/Week
Duration: 3 Months
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care and support nursing staff in a fast-paced and emotionally rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding
Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and other clinical data
Perform electrocardiographs (ECGs) and report findings to appropriate staff
Ensure cleanliness and readiness of patient care areas
Transport patients and deliver supplies/equipment as needed
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Provide emotional support to patients and families in labor and delivery
High school diploma or equivalent
AHA BLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support) certification Required
Completion of a healthcare-based training program in performing electrocardiographs Required
Previous experience in a hospital or labor & delivery unit preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
