Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA (Remote/Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team. This role will focus on database administration, patching, upgrades, performance optimization, and high availability in enterprise environments. The ideal Oracle DBA will have hands-on experience with Oracle 18c and 19c, RAC configurations, and GoldenGate implementations.
As an Oracle DBA , you will collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure database reliability, scalability, and security. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can manage large database environments, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot complex issues.
Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (18c/19c) across multiple environments.
Apply PSU patches and perform rolling upgrades for Oracle environments.
Manage database upgrades and migrations across data centers.
Administer and troubleshoot multi-node RAC systems on ASM .
Implement and support Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and synchronization.
Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks; analyze system metrics and SQL tuning.
Create and manage ASM instances ; perform instance-level troubleshooting.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal database performance.
Work with IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems.
Maintain strong security and backup policies across all Oracle environments.
Provide technical documentation and support for production and development teams.
8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
Strong proficiency with Oracle 18c and 19c database administration.
Expertise in RAC , ASM , GoldenGate , and database migration .
Solid understanding of Oracle architecture , performance tuning , and SQL optimization .
Experience with Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems.
Proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks efficiently.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
