Operations Manager

SAIC is seeking junior Operations Managers to join our team supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E). The successful candidates will provide technical management and leadership to efficiently and effectively run daily front office operations for OUSW(R&E) leadership. These positions are ideal for candidates who have experience with Department of War front office operations and are eager to take on a greater leadership role supporting R&E's exciting mission. These positions are full time on site in Arlington, VA. These positions are contingent upon contract award anticipated in late 2025/early 2026.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate and monitor action and task assignments, establishing completion dates, and assist with escalation as needed.
  • Facilitate teamwork among office staff to ensure cross-collaboration, meeting preparation, scheduling, task execution, and follow up.
  • Develop resource plans to accomplish tasks efficiently while managing competing priorities.
  • Recommend and implement modifications to current administrative and operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency for customers.
  • Maintain and develop office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement process changes through mentoring, counseling, and training office staff.
  • Develop executive-level status and summary briefings.
  • Develop and document decision support documents for senior customers.
  • Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a management or technical discipline (e.g. Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field).
    • Three (3) years of experience as an Operations Manager is required. Highly preferred experience and skills in project management, operational management, strategy development and planning, and executive decisions support.
    • Required Clearance:

      • Active TS/SCI
      • U.S. Citizenship

      Required Skills:

      • Expert level skills in management tools including MS Office suite.
      • Ability to execute effectively in DoW staff environments and at the most senior levels of the Department.
      • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks, and deliver high quality and timely results and work products.
