The Lab Supervisor is responsible for professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of clinical laboratory science necessary to produce reliable results to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and maintaining skills in manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity in all sections of the laboratory. The lab supervisor must work efficiently, unsupervised, and is expected to exercise independent judgment; is responsible for computer skills, proficiency in using the Laboratory Information System, and for abiding by all regulatory requirements. Education Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biological Science Training and Experience / Licensure / Certification Certification as Medical Technologist by ASCP or NCA Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Generalist with the LSBME 12 months internship through a School of Medical Technology or previous MLT training 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist Competitive Benefits Great medical benefit plan Early access to earned wages Participation in robust state pension plan Dental, vision, life insurance, disability and more!
