Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: Conroe, Texas 77306

Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; requires some flexibility and the ability to work weekends.

Pay: Up to $35/hr depending on experience

Position Overview

Responsible for having expertise in electrical systems, construction sites, and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting, and other electrical fixtures.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with other team members, including apprentices, contractors, and project managers, to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice electricians.
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and technologies through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
Knowledge of low voltage wiring and logic controllers.
Familiarity with volt meters for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
Experience in both residential and commercial electrical work.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
