Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: Conroe, Texas 77306

Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; requires some flexibility and the ability to work weekends.

Pay:  Up to $35/hr depending on experience

Position Overview

Responsible for having expertise in electrical systems, construction sites, and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting, and other electrical fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including apprentices, contractors, and project managers, to complete projects efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice electricians.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and technologies through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of low voltage wiring and logic controllers.
  • Familiarity with volt meters for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Experience in both residential and commercial electrical work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
