Executive Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Culinary Management experience in a high-end hotel, event venue, restaurant, or catering company.
- At least 3 years of experience managing multiple managers and 3+ hourly staff.
- Proven experience in food preparation for events serving 500-1000 people.
- Experience managing events with total sales exceeding $6 million .
Executive Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with various market segments, including weddings, nonprofit, and corporate events.
Executive Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
- Train and mentor senior sous chefs and kitchen staff.
- Conduct monthly food inventories and manage food cost budgets.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure flawless event execution.
- Maintain sanitation procedures and ensure a clean, organized kitchen.
- Accommodate special requests and understand dietary and allergy restrictions.
