Position Overview

APAC Alabama is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to join our team in Central Alabama . In this role, you’ll be responsible for marketing and selling our crushed rock and asphalt products , expanding our customer base, and developing new markets. You’ll manage your territory with a focus on achieving sales goals, building strong client relationships, and supporting infrastructure development across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and profitability.
  • Identify and bid on projects within the assigned territory.
  • Promote and sell crushed rock and asphalt products to contractors, municipalities, and industrial clients.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive pricing to inform sales tactics.
  • Provide accurate material quotes and manage orders through our tracking system.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and site visits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate sales efforts across overlapping geographic markets and leverage the CRH portfolio.
  • Track inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Represent the company at industry events, training programs, and networking forums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in construction materials or a customer-facing role.
  • Prior experience in aggregate or asphalt sales strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and work nights/weekends as needed.
  • Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
